MEMBERSHIP OVERVIEW

Get your dog in shape safely and effectively through the only canine fitness program designed and monitored by a canine sports medicine specialist. This scienced-based program was designed for busy dog owners who want to increase their dog’s physical condition while improving performance, reducing risk of injuries, improving overall health, and hopefully extending lifespan.

Designed for all dogs, FFL includes additional programs for elite athletes, puppies from 8 weeks to 15 months, and senior/geriatric dogs. (Breeders and stud dog owners should join Fit to be Tied instead to gain the same FFL benefits for all of their dogs PLUS learn what exercises are safe to do when during the breeding process.)

Fit for Life covers all of your dogs for one low monthly price! It includes regular assessments, individual programs tailored to each dog’s strengths and weaknesses, and step-by-step exercise videos. Members can look forward to engaging with Chris and Gayle through live, monthly video calls where they will get personal, hands-on instruction and answer to their questions. Members can also share suggestions, successes and challenges with others on the private Facebook group.

  • Begin by registering, if you are new to Avidog, or logging in, if you are already an Avidog member.
  • Once on the membership page, begin by watching the assessment and exercise concept videos. You can also download the audio files or transcripts, if you’d rather listen or read.
  • Then do the Fit For Life Fitness and Body Condition Assessment with your dog.
  • After the assessment, you’ll receive your dog’s individualized fitness program to download and print.
  • From there, review the specific exercise videos for your program and create your dog’s training schedule.
  • Gather the gear and treats you’ll need, and go to work!

  • Try to train 5-15 minutes a day, 5 days a week so you’ll be prepared with questions or issues for the monthly live calls.
  • Repeat your dog’s Fit For Life Fitness and Body Condition Assessment to see the progress the two of you have made and get an updated fitness program each month.
